Every Bee d'Vine honey wine, compared

Ten bottles, two sweetness levels, three sparklers and a three-liter showpiece. Here is how they differ and which one to order.

Disclosure: we earn a commission if you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. Bee d'Vine is currently our only affiliate partner, and our bottle picks come from its range. How this works.

Bee d'Vine makes every wine from the same two ingredients, raw honey and spring water, so the differences come down to four choices: how dry it is fermented, whether it goes through a second fermentation for bubbles, which honey is used, and how it is aged. The table shows all four at a glance.

Still honey wines

The core of the range. Start with the Demi Sec or the Brut, then branch out to the forest-honey bottlings (Geteme and Miombo, each blended with clover honey) and the oak-influenced ones once you know which sweetness level you prefer.

Sparkling honey wines

All three get their bubbles from a second fermentation under pressure. Pick by sweetness and style: Demi Sec Sparkling is off-dry, Brut Sparkling is dry with bready, nutty notes, and Fresca is the light one, made entirely in stainless steel. Frequently asked questions

Which Bee d'Vine honey wine should I try first?

The still Demi Sec if you like a little sweetness, the Brut if you drink dry white wine. Both cost $49, and the producer lists several gold medals for each.

What is the difference between Brut and Demi Sec?

Sweetness. Brut is the dry family, at about 5 g of carbohydrate per glass. Demi Sec is the semi-sweet family, at about 9 g. The basics (honey and water only, 11.5 to 12.5% ABV) are shared.

Are the sparkling wines carbonated artificially?

No. The producer uses a second fermentation under pressure, so the bubbles come from the wine itself.

Do they sell a sampler?

Not as a fixed product when we checked. Club d'Vine members choose their own bottles, four or more per shipment, which works as a build-your-own sampler with free shipping.
